In August 2008, Vaughan moved back to England, joining Championship side Blackpool for a fee of £200,000. He signed a two-year contract, with the option of a further year.[2] He made his debut for the Seasiders on 9 August 2008 as a second half substitute in a 1-0 home defeat to Bristol City.
