Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed (May 13, 1905 - February 11, 1977) was President of India from 1974 to 1977. Ahmed was born on May 13, 1905, in Delhi, India, to Col. Zalnur Ali Ahmed and Ruqqaiya Sultan, the daughter of the Nawab of Loharu, Aizz-uddin Ahmad Khan (r. 1920-1926) [1].
He was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Prishtina, Kosovo in 1975, during his visit to Yugoslavia. References
