Jessica Barden (born 21st July 1992) is an English actress who is a regular cast member on Coronation Street.

In 2007 it was announced that she would play the part of Kayleigh Morton on the ITV Soap Opera Coronation Street[1][2]. She made her first appearance on Sunday 18 March 2007.

It was announced in April 2008 that Jessica, along with the rest of the Morton Family, will leave Coronation street at the end of 2008, after just a year and a half. Jessica has now filmed her final scenes which will air in October 2008.

She has also appeared in The Chase and No Angels, My Parents Are Aliens and plays Mary Ratcliffe in the 2007 film Mrs Ratcliffe's Revolution.

Background

Barden is from Wetherby, West Yorkshire and attends the Northern Film and Drama Academy in Wetherby[3]. She attends Wetherby High School, and is currently in year 11.
