Michael Angelis (b. 18 January 1952, Liverpool) is an English actor.

Angelis is best known for narrating the British Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends series from 1991 to 2008. He narrated six American Thomas episodes in 2003, after the previous narrator Alec Baldwin left, but was soon replaced by Michael Brandon.

Michael Angelis was also one of the stars of the famous 1982 BBC drama serial Boys from the Blackstuff and its comedies such as Luv and The Liver Birds in which he appeared from seasons 5-9.

He also appeared as Liverpool gangland boss Mickey Startup in the third series of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet in 2002. He narrated John Peel's autobiography, Margrave of the Marshes, on BBC Radio 4 in 2005.

In 2006 he starred in the movie Fated, set in his home town of Liverpool. In 2007, he starred in episodes of Midsomer Murders and The Bill.

Angelis was married to the Coronation Street actress Helen Worth; however the two are now divorced.
