P. Geetha Jeevan is the current minister of social welfare in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. She was born in Thoothukudi in 6 May 1970. She holds a master degree in commerce. She is a correspondent of Geetha Matric higher secondar school, Thoothukudi.

Political career

She was a member and chairperson of Tutucorin district panchayat between the years 1996-2006.[1] She defeated Danielraj from ADMK with about 15000 votes in Thoothukudi constituency to become member of the assembly. [2]. Social welfare ministry portfolio was handed over to her when Poongothai Aladi Aruna was implicated in the telephone controversy. [3]
