As of 2001 India census[2], Raigachhi had a population of 6728. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Raigachhi has an average literacy rate of 55%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 58%, and female literacy is 52%. In Raigachhi, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
