Rajpal Yadav is an Indian actor who is known for his eccentric comedy. He belongs to the Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. He has a good fan base in India.

In 2005 he played the leading role and wrote the screenplay for the film Main, Mere Patni Aur Woh which got him positive reviews. He also got acclaim for his comic roles in movies like Hungama, Waqt: The Race Against Time, Malamaal Weekly and Chup Chup Ke.

Biography

Rajpal Yadav was born and raised in a village called Kudra in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. As a child he loved to participate in Nautanki, a traditional form of folk drama. He completed the degree of Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Shahjahanpur and got admission in Lucknow's Bhartendu Natya Academy (B.N.A). He remained there from 1992-94. He then joined Delhi's National School of Drama from which he graduated in 1997.

He later went to Mumbai, where he was introduced to Ram Gopal Varma by Anurag Kashyap. He was given a small role in Shool by Varma in which he was impressive. In the movie Jungle he played a villain and it won him two awards.

He had a hit with Main Madhuri Dixit Bana Chahti hoon and made a guest appearances in Kal Ho Na Ho and Love in Nepal.

He also regularly does lot of Theatre and Stage Shows worldwide. His 2008 tour of Australia and Fiji was a big hit.

While shooting for 'The Hero: Love Story of a Spy' in Canada, Rajpal met with Anita, and both got married at Iskcon Temple in Juhu, Bombay, on June 16, 2003.
