Welcome (Hindi: वेलकम, Urdu: ویلکم) is a 2007 Bollywood film, directed by Anees Bazmee. The film stars Feroz Khan, Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Malika Sherawat.
SynopsisDr Ghunghroo (Paresh Rawal) wants his nephew Rajiv (Akshay Kumar) to marry a girl from a decent family. Don Uday Shetty (Nana Patekar), would like an honest man to marry his sister Sanjana (Katrina Kaif). He and his brother Majnu (Anil Kapoor) set things up so Dr Ghunghroo accepts their proposal. Upon learning his mistake, however, he and his family flee the city.Rajiv , meanwhile , meets Sanjana in a hotel and immediately falls in love with her.Majnu and Uday make an offer, promising to quit their bad habits if Rajiv would marry Sanjana. Dr Ghunghroo agrees and a grand celebration is held along with RDX (Feroz Khan) . But then, a girl named Ishika (Malika Sherawat) turns up , claiming to be Rajiv's wife and insisting that the engagement stop that minute. Sanjana is very depressed and Rajiv , quite shocked. They find out it was Dr Ghunghroo who had hired Ishika to stop the marriage. The cause being that Dr Ghungroo promised his sister, who is Rajiv's mother that "he would not let a shadow of crime fall on him (Rajiv)". Rajiv's mother apparently, married into a family heavily involved in crime and suffered her whole life for making that mistake. When Rajiv was born, she gave him to her brother, Dr Ghungroo so that he would have a better life. At this point Dr Ghungroo says that he has no objection for Rajiv marrying Sanjana but he has an objection to Sanjana's family. Upon hearing this, Rajiv says that if he can make Uday Shetty and Majnu leave crime then he he would surely be able to marry Sanjana. To repent Uday Shetty, who has a dream of being an actor, he casts him in a fake film which has Ishika as a co-star. To repent Majnu, who thinks of himself as a great painter, sells his paintings at an exhibition where Ishika is set up to lure him. All th plans work well until Sanjana accidently and indirectly shoots Lucky, who is RDX's son. What then follows is a twisted turn of events which ends up with Rajiv gaining the trust of RDX by risking his own life into rescuing Lucky who is alive. RDX, Shetty and Majnu end up supposedly leaving crime while Rajiv and Sanjana end up getting married. Cast
